- Actively canvass industrial areas, business parks, and shipping facilities to identify and secure new customers.
- Develop new FTL and LTL opportunities throughout Canada and the U.S.
- Prepare competitive quotations and respond to customer RFQs and RFPs.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with shippers and logistics decision-makers.
- Sell both asset-based transportation services and brokerage solutions.
- Negotiate rates, service agreements, and close profitable business.
- Maintain an accurate CRM with all prospecting activities, customer meetings, quotations, and follow-up tasks.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales, activity, and revenue targets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of transportation sales experience.
- Strong knowledge of FTL and LTL transportation.
- Thorough understanding of Canada-wide and Canada–U.S. freight markets, including lanes, pricing, and transit requirements.
- Proven success in prospecting, generating leads, preparing quotations, responding to RFQs/RFPs, and closing new business.
- Hunter mentality with a strong desire to win new accounts and grow revenue.
- Existing book of business/customer relationships is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required to visit and prospect customers.
Performance Expectations:
- Daily outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and in-person visits.
- Regular face-to-face meetings with prospective and existing customers.
- Consistent pipeline growth with measurable sales activity.
- CRM updates documenting all prospecting efforts, customer meetings, and sales opportunities.
- Achievement of monthly KPIs for prospecting, quotations submitted, meetings held, and new business secured.
What We Offer:
- Opportunity to work directly with the CEO.
- Represent a growing asset-based carrier with a full-service brokerage division.
- Strong operational support from an experienced dispatch and operations team.
- Career advancement opportunities within a rapidly expanding company.
- Professional, performance-driven work environment.
